One of the last projects Louis Kahn had completed before his passing was a Performing Arts Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1973 (now known as the Arts United Center of Greater Fort Wayne). Since then the facility has remained mostly untouched, with only minor finish upgrades over the years.
As one of the project architects working on the 2024 renovation & expansion of the Arts United Center, I was given the unique opportunity to spend a day inside the empty theatre, alone with just my camera. What made this opportunity extra special was that the facility had been completely cleaned out to prepare it for the upcoming renovation.

It was just me and the architecture of the master Louis Kahn.
No distractions.
